Where Builders Shape What’s Next | AIBoomi Annual ’26 – Passes Now Live

#7: #AIRadarDaily — Hanooman AI

For 80% of India, the internet is a foreign place. It speaks, reads, and thinks in English.

If you don’t know the language, you don’t get access.

Hanooman AI is breaking this language wall.

Founded by Dr. Vishnu Vardhan (an Orthopedic Surgeon turned AI researcher, MIT alum), Hanooman is a multimodal, multilingual GenAI ecosystem built specifically for Bharat.

Most models today are “text-first”. Hanooman is different. It is designed to be multimodal from the ground up — generating text, speech, and video seamlessly across 12+ Indian languages (and 98 global ones).

The insight didn’t come from a computer lab; it came from a hospital.

As a surgeon, Dr. Vishnu saw patients struggle to understand basic medical advice because of language barriers. He realized that for AI to truly serve India, it couldn’t just be a chatbot; it had to speak, listen, and show — in Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, and beyond.

The market? The next billion users who will interact with the internet through voice and video, not keyboards.

This is what “Sovereign AI” looks like: An Indian team building a foundational model that understands the cultural and linguistic nuance of its own people.

We are proud to see such ambition coming out of India. See you at AIBoomi Annual in March.

Let’s celebrate the builders.
