India Doesn’t Wait. Neither Should Our Ambition.

Travel a few hundred kilometres across India and you’ll often find yourself in a different world.

The language changes. The food changes. The landscape changes. Even the way people greet one another can feel entirely new.

It’s one of the things that makes India such a fascinating country. There are so many different ways of living, thinking, and looking at the world, often within a few hours of one another.

Lately, we’ve been thinking about what this could mean for the generation of founders and builders emerging across India.

A founder in Chennai might see an opportunity that someone in Jaipur hasn’t considered. A researcher in Bengaluru might approach a problem differently from an engineer in Kochi. A team building for India’s many languages might end up creating something useful for millions of people elsewhere in the world.

There’s a great deal of possibility in these differences, especially now that AI is changing what individuals and small teams can accomplish.

A bigger ambition for what India can build

India has spent decades proving what its talent can accomplish.

We built a global IT services powerhouse. Then came a generation of SaaS founders who showed that products built in India could find customers around the world.

Today, AI is changing the speed and scale at which ambitious ideas can become real products. Small teams are taking on problems that would have required far greater resources just a few years ago.

We’re seeing a growing curiosity among founders, researchers, and builders about what hasn’t been built yet. They’re asking bigger questions about the problems they want to solve and the companies they want to create.

There’s tremendous learning to draw from what’s happening globally, particularly in Silicon Valley. We want Indian founders to be part of those conversations, learn from the people leading them, and bring their own perspectives to the table.

We believe India has the talent and ambition to contribute original ideas to this next chapter of technology. And we want to help more people find the knowledge, connections, and confidence to pursue them.

This is the belief behind the theme for our next flagship gathering: INDIA DOESN’T WAIT.

Building on what ONE began

We’re bringing AIBoomi ONE back for its second edition, from 2–5 March 2027 in Bengaluru.

The first edition last year opened our doors to a new generation of founders and builders. It brought fresh perspectives, new relationships, and an energy that reminded us just how much this community has to look forward to.

As we began planning the next edition, we revisited feedback from previous events and spent time listening to AI-native founders, investors, and people across the community.

Many wanted more time between sessions, fewer overlapping conversations, and better opportunities to meet the people they’d come hoping to connect with.

We could relate to that. Anyone who’s attended a large conference knows how quickly a day can disappear. Sometimes, the most useful conversation is the one you barely had time for.

So we began designing ONE around a question we’ve kept returning to: How can we make the time people spend together genuinely worthwhile?

More room for ideas. More room for people.

For the main conference, we’re planning a single track of carefully curated talks and conversations, so attendees can follow the larger discussions without having to choose between sessions.

We’re also setting aside considerably more time for people to connect. Our working plan includes approximately 8.5 hours of networking and related activities, alongside 6 hours of content.

VCBridge, Mind Mixers, curated roundtables, and facilitated one-to-one meetings will help people find others they might otherwise never meet. We’re also improving the event app so attendees can discover people and schedule conversations roughly a month in advance.

ONE ‘27 will begin with ONE Bootcamp, a residential experience for approximately 75–80 early-stage founders, offering practical learning, honest discussions, and focused time together.

The ONE conference will bring a wider group of founders, builders, researchers, technical practitioners, and investors into conversations about AI, AGI, consumer AI, robotics, spacetech, biotech, and other emerging technologies.

We want people to encounter ideas beyond their immediate industries and leave with a broader sense of what’s becoming possible.

We’re also replacing traditional awards with a showcase of promising AI-native and deeptech startups. It’s an opportunity for emerging teams to share what they’re building and for more people to discover and support their work.

Through all of this, we’re trying to make the experience more thoughtful, personal, and useful.

What if we imagined India as ONE?

We keep coming back to the diversity of this country, and the range of problems, experiences, and perspectives it brings.

Some founders will build products for problems that are uniquely Indian. Others will create companies serving customers around the world. And some may discover that something designed for a particular community here has relevance far beyond it.

Imagine what could happen if more of these people found opportunities to learn from one another.

A founder could meet a researcher who changes how they approach a problem. An engineer could find a collaborator through an unexpected conversation. An investor could discover a team working on something they’d never encountered before.

These are the kinds of relationships we hope ONE will help create.

Over the years, we’ve seen how much can happen when people in this community take an interest in one another’s journeys. A timely introduction, a hard-earned lesson, or a conversation that continues long after an event can make a lasting difference.

We know four days together won’t answer every question or solve every challenge.

But if people leave with greater conviction about what they can build, a broader understanding of what’s happening around them, and a few more people they can turn to, we’ll have made those four days count.

There’s a generation of Indian founders and builders already working on ideas that could shape the next decade.

We’d love to bring more of them together.

If you’re an AI-native founder, builder, researcher, technical practitioner, or investor who believes India has much more to contribute to the world, we hope you’ll join us.
